Excellent people, communication, and supervisory skills
Good command of emails communication and Microsoft office
Fluent in Maltese and English is a must. Any other language will be considered as an asset
Must have very high standards for attention to detail and commitment to deliver excellent customer service
Passion and drive to succeed
Willing to work flexible hours, including weekends and public holidays.
Good clean driving licence and Police conduct
Food handling certificate
Co-ordinate the entire café & restaurant operation, including front of house and back of house
Meet and greet customers
Analyse and plan restaurant sales levels and profitability by creating menu specials, upselling and planning the calendar events.
Originate and plan marketing activities together with the sales and marketing within the cafeteria and pjazza.
Handling administration and paperwork.
Create and execute plans for department sales and staff development.
Prepare reports at the end of the week, including staff control, food complaints and where we can improve sales.
Plan and coordinate menus together with the Operations manager and the Executive chef.
Coordinate the operation of the café & restaurant during scheduled shifts
Liaising with the Operations Manager to come up with the café & restaurant SOP’s
Planning staff training re customer service, upselling and SOPs.
Recruit, manage and motivate staff
Respond to customer queries and complaints
Assist the operations manager during high profile events (outside catering)
Maintain high standards of quality control, hygiene, and health and safety together with the Health Safety and Quality manager
Overseeing stock levels
Meet new suppliers to discuss new products in the market
